The 2000 Chesley Bonestell Memorial Lecture, entitled Discovery of a Habitable World: Jupiter’s Moon Europa, was delivered on 11 November by Dr. Richard Greenberg. A near-capacity audience at Monterey Peninsula College’s Lecture Forum enjoyed Dr. Greenberg’s insights into the Europan environment.

Dr. Greenberg is a member of the Galileo Imaging Team and a Principal Investigator in NASA’s Planetary Geology and Geophysics program. His investigations of Europa have led to the implications that it may well be a world habitable by living organisms.
