Solar Images from MIRA

The Monterey Institute for
Research in Astronomy

The page you are about to link to originated as part of an exhibit called MIRA: Exploring the Universe from the Central Coast. The exhibit ran from 1 July through 24 September 2000 at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. The images were taken through special filters attached to the telescope at MIRA's William R. and Bette M. Weaver Student Observatory.
Once you go to the page, please be patient. You will be treated to a cycle of solar images automatically. You'll have about 60 seconds per page to view the images. The presentation will cycle repeatedly until you choose to exit. Due to the page's primary function as an element of the museum exhibit, there are no links back to the MIRA Website. Try your browser's back function to return here.
